Short version: an account is an email address and a name from Google, votes are tied to a random id, and there are no third-party trackers.

If you sign in

Signing in with Google stores your email address, the display name Google supplies, and Google's account identifier. That last one is what identifies you on return visits — not the email — so changing your Google address keeps your account.

If you vote without signing in

A random identifier is stored in a cookie on your device and attached to your votes. It is not derived from your IP address or your browser fingerprint, and it tells us nothing about you — its only job is to avoid asking you the same comparison twice and to stop one person voting on the same pair repeatedly. Clearing your cookies discards it.

What is public about your account

One thing: your first name, on the top voters board, beside the number of votes you have cast. Your email address is never shown to anyone but you, and the board is not indexed by search engines — searching your name will not find it. Community categories you create are public and badged as yours, and your first name appears on them too.

There is no public profile. Nothing links a vote to a name: the board is a count, and which pair you judged, and how, is not shown anywhere.

Server logs

Each request is logged with its path, status, timing, IP address and user-agent. That is operational data — finding slow pages and abuse — and it is deleted on a rolling basis.

Deleting your account

Your account page has a delete button. It removes your account, your Google link and your sessions immediately.

Your votes are kept, with the link to you removed and replaced by a fresh random identifier. This is deliberate: every vote has already moved two ratings that other people's votes also moved, and deleting yours would silently rewrite public rankings. Nothing in a kept vote identifies you.
